On the 11th of July, the cargo material was exported for the first time using the Gautam Budh International Airport located in Bhairahawa. Kathmandu’s Himalex Tedders sent out the Nepalese products through Rising Star Cargo Pvt. Ltd. Handicraft goods were sent to France via Kuwait transit by Jazeera Air
Since then, there has been no export from that airport. Gautam Budh International Airport, which is an alternative airport to Tribhuvan International Airport, has not been utilized for exports due to lack of interest from businessmen. Although Nepalese products are being exported using Tribhuvan International Airport, Bhairahawa Airport is deserted.
