Cargo service has started at Gautam Buddha International Airport. For the first time on Friday, Himalex Traders of Kathmandu started exporting Nepali products abroad using this airport through Rising Star Cargo Pvt. Ltd.
Pradeep Sapkota, informed that three months after the start of commercial flights, Himalex is going to send handicrafts to France via Kuwait transit through Jazeera Air. In the first phase, two tons of goods are going to be exported, the airport said.
Jeevan Pant, manager of Rising Star Cargo Pvt. Ltd. said that the promotion of Gautam Budh Airport is the need of the moment. For this reason, he said that he is going to buy ‘Ricks’, load the goods on a truck from Kathmandu and bring them to Bhairahawa for export.
